Renate sees it as a privilege to be able to walk alongside people; and to assist individuals, families, colleagues, groups and communities in making changes, facing adversity and shaping lives and practices. She provides a collaborative approach to her support, counselling and therapy.
Her areas of expertise include: relationship and family therapy, loss and grief, anxiety and depression, trauma, relationships, personality, esteem and identity, life stage difficulties and transformations. She has a focus on innovation and has recently embraced all aspects of Tele-health, as a way of connecting with and providing effective therapy to clients in their space. Her community work currently includes suicide prevention, providing professional guidance, clinical governance guidance and developmental support to community and community workers and also mentoring young people in grant writing. She enjoys reading, writing, the arts, rain forests and beaches.
